The Master's Plan
SALVATION
TITLE:        THE MASTER'S PLAN
TEXT:          ROMANS 10:9
To accomplish any goal in life you must have a plan.  It must be well thought out.  You must be
able to visualize it completion.  There must be systematic steps that should be followed to
reach your objective.   Never since the fall of man in the garden of Eden.  God has been working
out his plan to bring man back to fellowship with him.  It was God's plan that send Jesus to die
for our sins.
Salvation is through belief in Jesus Christ.
What must one do to obtain Salvation?
I.  Must confess with your mouth that you are a sinner.
     1.  Jesus said we should - Matthew 10:32-33
     2.  Paul said we should - Phillippians 2:10-11 , Romans 14:11
     3.  So our sins will be forgiven - 1 John 1:9, Hebrews 9:14
     4.  Confession puts us in fellowship with God - 1 John 4:15
If what comes out of a man's mouth can defile him.  Then what's said from his mouth can also
save him.  For those things which proceeds out of the mouth comes from the heart.  After,
we confess our sins we have to believe Jesus' sacrifice paid the penalty for our sins.
Hebrews 9:22, Lev. 17:11.
II.  Must believe that Jesus was able to cover your sins.
     1.  Jesus was no ordinary man - Hebrews 7:26, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:22
     2.  Jesus never sinned - John 18:38
     3.  Jesus' blood was pure - Hebrews 10:19, 1 Peter 1:19
     4.  Jesus was final sacrifice - Hebrews 9:12, Hebrews 7:27, 1 John 1:7
Jesus paid the penalty for our sins forever.  All we have to do is believe in our hearts.  The
Ethiopian eunuch believed and was saved in Acts 8:36-39.
III.  Must believe in our hearts
The heart is the most important organ in our body.  The heart must work continually to keep
us alive.  From the heart comes our Personality, Intellect, Compassion, Love, Affection and
Courage.  It is the source of all our Emotions.
     1.  Jesus loves the heart - Matthew 5:8
     2.  There is a treasure in the heart - Matthew 12:35
     3.  God wants us to love him with all are hearts - Matthew 22:37
     4.  God knows the heart - Hebrews 4:12
Jesus said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you, I go to prepare a place for you so where
I'm you shall be, also."  We must believe that Jesus lives, that he got up from the grave.
IV.  Must believe that Jesus arose from the dead.
     1.  Jesus arose so we could live - Romans 6:4-10, Acts 2:24
     2.  Jesus arose to free us from sin - 1 Corinthians 15:17, Romans 4:25 & John 3:16
     3.  Jesus died for us - Romans 5:8, 1 Peter 3:18
     4.  Jesus sits beside God - Col 3:1, Ephesians 2:6 & Col 2:12
V.  Must believe were saved
     1.  Call on the name of Jesus - Romans 10:13
     2.  Believe in the name of Jesus - Acts 16:31
     3.  Saved by his death - Romans 5:10
     4.  Saved by God's grace - Ephesians 2:5-8
Do you want everlasting life?  You must confess that you believe in Jesus' death, burial and
resurrection.  For Jesus said in Luke 12:8-9.
Message to the Backsliders
JESUS STILL LOVES YOU
TITLE:        COME BACK LITTLE SHEEP
TEXT:          MARK 16:7
What if you had a friend who turned his back on you just before a big fight or disappeared when
you needed him the most.  Or pretend he didn't know you.  You probably wouldn't want anything to do with
that person.  That person would be every name in the book anything but, a friend.  It's very hard
for us to forgive a person like this.  If it weren't for Jesus' forgiveness of Peter and the other
disciples where would Christianity be today.
Jesus is still in love with the backsliders.
How does Jesus show his love for the backslider?
I.  He will allow the backslider to reaffirm their love for him.
     1.  Peter had denied he knew Jesus three times - John 18:17,25-27
     2.  Jesus allowed Peter to reconfirm his love for him - John 21:15-17
     3.  The other disciples deserted him and went into hiding - John 20:19
     4.  Jesus sent message that he wanted to see them in Galilee- Mark 16:7
II.  He will allow the backslider to be strengthen for great service.
     1.  Jesus mentioned he would built his church around Peter - Matthew 16:18
     2.  Jesus wanted Peter to take care of the spiritual growth of his followers - John 21:15-17
     3.  Jesus gave a commission to all his disciples - Mark 16:15-16
III. He will allow the backslider to receive his holy spirit.
     1.  Jesus told his disciples he would send them the power from GOD - Luke 24:49
     2.  Jesus said he would send the Holy Spirit - John 14:16-18, John 15:26-27 & John 16:7, 33.
Jesus is still in love with the backslider.  Jesus wants to reestablish a relationship with his sheep.
Turn back to Jesus he is able to give you strength and forgiveness.  Jesus the Good Shepherd
John 10:11-15.
The Calling of God
THE CALLING OF GOD
TITLE:        CAN WE KNOW GOD'S WILL FOR US?
It is possible for Christians to know the will of God for their lives.
How can we know the will of God for us?
There are at least three general principles for ascertaining the will of God for our lives.
I.  We discover the will of God for our lives through the Word of God.
     1.  Which we must read - 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalms 19:7-8, 119:9, 11, 104, 105, 130
     2.  Which we must obey - Joshua 1:8, Romans 12:1-2, Colossians 1:9-10
II. We learn the will of God for our lives through inward conviction of the Holy Spirit.
     1.  Who impresses upon our hearts that which God wants us to do - Romans 8:14, Galatians 5:16-18, 25
     2. Who never urges us to do that which is contrary to the scriptures - John 16:13-14, 17:17, Galatians 5:16-17
     3. Who never leads us to do that which is contrary to plain duty - Romans 14:17-18, Ephesians 5:9-18
III.  We ascertain the will of God for our lives through circumstances.
     1.  Which may corroborate either or both of the previous principles - Acts 10:17-22, 11:4-15, 16:6-10
     2.  Which may open or close a door according to the Lord's purpose for us - Revelation 3:7-8, Phillipians 1:22-26
The Women Who Jesus Loved
THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST
TITLE:        THE WOMEN THAT JESUS LOVED
TEXT:          MARK 16:9-11
We know that everyone who say they love the Lord really don't love him.  It comes evident
in how we conduct ourselves with others.  Love is what loves does.  God is a discerner of the
thoughts and the intent of our hearts.  Therefore, he knows who loves him and who doesn't.
The ones who love him he will set apart from the rest.
God reveals himself to the people he chooses.
Who does God reveal himself to?
As we look at Mark 16: 9-11 we see some of the characteristics of people God reveals
himself to.
I.  God reveals himself to people who love him sincerely - Matthew 5:8.
     1.  Jesus first shows his love for us - Romans 5:8
          a.  Jesus healed Mary Magdalene from demon possession - Mark 16:9
          b.  Jesus showed his love for Martha and Mary by raising their brother Lazarus
          from the grave - John 11: 5, John 11:14, John 11:23, 41-44
     2.  Jesus showed his love for them.  They in turn showed their love for him.
          a.  Mary Magdalene provided support for Jesus' ministry - Luke 8:2-3
          b.  Mary Magdalene was at the cruxifixion - Mark 15:40
          c.  Mary Magdalene had got up before sunrise to bring spices for his body - Mark 16:1-2.
Jesus had been put in the grave without being embalmed she was coming to help
perform the procedure.  Bringing spices to the tomb was like bringing flowers to
           a grave today.
           d.  Mary (the sister of Martha & Lazarus) annointed Jesus with expensive
ointment - Mark 14:3-4  " She was willing to spend and be spent for the Gospel."
           e.  Mary (Martha & Lazarus' sister)  was willing to listen to Jesus - Luke 10:38-42
Mary Magdalene's love was not complicated, but it was direct and genuine.  She was
more eager to believe and obey than to understand everything.  Jesus honored her
child-like faith by appearing to her first.
II.  Jesus reveals himself to people who trust him.
     1.  Jesus said trust in his word - John 5:24
     2.  Mary (Martha's sister) showed her trust in Jesus by listening to his word - Luke 10:39
III.  God reveals himself to people who believe in him.
     1.  Jesus said that he would die and rise again - Mark 14:27-28.
     2.  Mary Magdalene after being told by an Angel believed he had risen - Mark 16:5-8
IV.  God reveals himself to people who are willing to go tell others.
     1.  Jesus told Mary Magdalene to go tell the others he had risen - Matthew 28:8-10
     2.  She went and told the other disciples - Mark 16:9-10
God commended his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us.  We can show are love for him by showing our love for others.  By trusting in his
word and telling others about his only begotten son Jesus Christ.
Do You Love Me?
THE GREAT COMMISSION
TITLE:        DO YOU LOVE ME?
TEXT:         MATTHEW 28:19-20
In any organization be it the military, business or in our own households we have rules that stand without
being repeated on a daily basis.  Standing Operating Procedures:  what should be done if no one is around
to give orders.  If the sergeant is away then the corporal takes charge.  The President will take over when
the CEO is away.  Nobody is allowed in the house when no one is home.  Well Jesus also, gave us some
rules we should follow while waiting for his return.
Jesus gave a commission to all believers before ascending to Heaven.
What does Jesus want his followers to do?
Matthew 28:19-20 tells us what Jesus wants us to do until he returns.
I.  Jesus wants us to teach others about him.
     1.  That he came to save the sinners - Luke 19:10.
     1.  That he came to do God's will - John 6:38.
     1.  That he came to give life - John 10:10, 28.
     1.  That he is the Savior of the world - 1 John 4:14-15.
II.  Jesus wants us to baptized in the name of the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost.
     1. Baptism symbolizes putting sin to death - Romans 6:3-7.
     2. Baptism is necessary to receive the Holy Ghost - Acts 2:38.
     3. Baptism puts all believers into the body of Christ - 1 Corinthians 12:13.
     4. The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost are all the same - 1 John 5:7.
III.  Jesus wants us to observe certain commands.
     1.  Keep his words and commandments - John 15:7, 10.
     2.  Observe his greatest commandments - Matthew 22:37-39.
     3.  Follow instructions on living a godly life - Matthew 5:3-12.
     4.  Be ready when he comes - Luke 12:40 &  Rev. 3:3-4
IV.  Jesus wants us to know he will be with us forever.
     1.  He has prepared a place for us in heaven - John 14:2-3.
     2.  Jesus said he would send a comforter until he returns - John 14:16-18, John 15:26-27 & John 16:7, 33.
     3.  He was returning for a certain church - Ephesians 5:27.
The greatest act of love is for someone to lay down their life for another.  Jesus laid
his life down for us while we were yet sinners.  The least we can do is follow his final
instructions until he returns.  No we are not perfect but, we should keep pressing towards
the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
The Long Distance Race
THE DEATH, BURIAL & RESURRECTION OF JESUS
TITLE:        THE LONG DISTANCE RACE
TEXT:         JOHN 19:28-30
After running a marathon or a race the runners are usually very thirsty.  They run at a very fast
pace.  The object of the race is to reach the finish line first.  The winner receives the prize winning
trophy.  Jesus was in a race for our lives or souls.  He had to run the race very quickly.  He had
to carry an eternity of sin to the cross in just a few hours.  It's know wonder why he thirst just before
reaching the finish line and claiming victory for us all.
Jesus was sent by God to die for our sins.
What did Jesus accomplish on the cross?
The following are some of the things Jesus won for us in his race to the cross.
I.  In the first leg of the race we received forgiveness of sin.
     1.  Jesus' obedience took away our sins - Romans 5:17-19.
     2.  Jesus' freed us from the bondage of sin - Romans 6:4-10.
     3.  Jesus' blood redeemed us - Ephesians 1:7 & Colossians 1:14.
II.  In the second leg of the race we received justification.
     1.  We are taken from under the control of sin - Romans 6:11-14.
     2.  We are given a new birth - 2 Corinthians 5:17.
     3.  We are able to freely call on the name of God - Romans 10:13.
III.  In the third leg of the race we received adoption.
     1.  We received the power to be called the sons of God - John 1:12 & Romans 8:14-15.
     2.  We received a place with Jesus in heaven -  John 14:1-3.
     3.  We have peace with God - Ephesians 2:13-14.
IV.  In the final leg of the race at the finish line.
     1.  We receive eternal life - John 3:16-17.
     2.  We are sealed to the day of redemption -  Ephesians 1:13-14.
     3.  We see Jesus at the right hand of God - Hebrews 10:12-18 & Hebrews 12:1-2.
Jesus has already run the race and won the victory for us all.  All we need is to accept
him as our personal savior to partake of the prize.  But we must keep running the good
race until he comes.  We must remember that the race will be won by them who will hold
on to the end.  We must keep pressing towards the mark of the higher calling in Christ
Jesus.  The race is not finished for us until our savior returns to collect his purchased
possessions.  All them who trust and believe in him.
The Final Verdict
RETURN OF CHRIST
TITLE:        THE FINAL VERDICT
TEXT:         REVELATION 20:11-12
If we were to compare the different religions.  The one thing they all seem to have in common
is the belief we all have to face our final judgement before God.  The difference is who the actual
judge will be.  As a Christian we believe that when Jesus ascended to Heaven he received a
throne on the right hand of God.  Jesus from that throne has been given power by God to judge
all mankind.
Jesus will be the judge of all mankind.
What events will take place at our final judgement?
Revelations 20:11-12 gives some details of the events that will take place at the final
judgement.
I.  Jesus will be the judge of all mankind.
     1.  Jesus who sits on the great white throne - Rev. 20:11
     2.  Jesus who god has given authority to judge all man - John 5:22 & John 5:26-27.
     3.  Jesus who will judge the living and the dead - Acts 10:42 & 2 Tim 4:1.
II.  Jesus will judge the living and the dead.
     1.  Those who are already in the grave - Hebrews 9:27
     2.  Those who have done good and those who have done evil - John 5:28-30.
     3.  We all shall give an account - Romans 14:7-13.
III.  Jesus will judge everyone in the same manner.
     1.  We will be judged according to our works - Rev. 20:12
     2.  We will be judged by every word we have said - Matthew 12:36-37.
     3.  We will be judged in truth - John 8:12-16.
IV.  Jesus will render sentence on unbelievers.
     1.  The unjust shall be punished - 2 Peter 2:9.
     2.  The unjust shall receive eternal damnation - Mark 3:29.
     2.  The unjust shall be cast into the lake of fire - Rev. 20:15.
V.  Jesus will have mercy on certain people
     1.  Those who have confessed their sins - 1 John 1:9-10.
     2.  Those who have accept Jesus as their personal savior - John 3:16-17 & Romans 10:9.
     3.  Those who have correct their faults - 1 Corinthians 11:31-32
Since it is clear that Jesus will be the judge of all mankind.  Don't you want him speaking on
your behalf when you come into your final judgement.  Don't you want the judge on your side
when the books are opened.  Don't you want Jesus speaking on your behalf when Satan comes
accusing you.  Repent, Confess your sins to God and accept Jesus as your personal savior today.
Tomorrow might be to late.  2 Chronicles 7:14.
We Will All Look Alike
RAPTURE
TITLE:        WE WILL ALL LOOK ALIKE
TEXT:         1 CORINTHIANS 15:52-53
Imagine being in a hall of mirrors everywhere you turned you saw the same image.  What if
you turned in your seat right now and all the faces and bodies around you were the same.  How
would the world be if we all looked the same?  Their would be no mistaken identities.  No more
envy and jealousy on how some one else looks.  No more lust of the eyes and lust of the flesh because
we'll all look the same.  This is not possible in this world but, when Christ comes back we'll all look
just like him.
All those who remain faithful to Christ shall become just like him.
What events will take place during the rapture?
As we look at 1 Corinthians 15:52-53 we see some of the events that will take place during
the rapture.
I.  The last trumpet shall sound.

     2.  Satan will no longer be able to accuse us before God - Rev. 12:10
     3.  God shall send his angels to gather his people - Matthew 24:31
Those who remained faithful to God before their death shall be given first consideration.  They
should they have waited much longer for his return.

     2.  The dead shall be transformed - 1 Corinthians 15:42-44
     3.  The dead will raise first - 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

     2.  At the plink of the eye we'll be changed - 1 Corinthians 15:52
     3.  Our bodies shall be like Jesus' body at his resurrection -   Phil 3:21 & 1 John 3:2
IV.  The alive in Christ shall be caught up with him in the air.
     1.  Those who stay faithful to the end - Rev. 15:2 & Rev. 12:11
     1.  Those who are still alive when he comes - 1 Thessalonians 4:17
     1.  Those who have trusted in GOD - John 3:16

     2.  Those who have accept Jesus as their personal savior - Romans 10:9.
     3.  Those who have correct their faults - 1 Corinthians 11:31-32
The goal of every Christian is to be like Jesus.  If we keep our faith in him and be prepared when
he comes we shall be just like him.  It will be the greatest joy imaginable to look around and see
nothing more than Jesus.
